An illustrated talk by Val Bott about several generations of the horticultural family who ran royal gardens at Kew, Richmond, Kensington, St James’ Park, Windsor and Hampton Court in the 18th century
As we have done every year since 2004, the Society marked the anniversary of the Chiswick V2 by laying a wreath at the Staveley Road memorial on the evening of 8 September.

After the business meeting, Howard Simmons will give a talk to mark the 1000th anniversary of the little-known Battle of Brentford of 1016 and the Danish Wars of that time.
