The Temples of Industry Project: Firestone, Trico & AEC
Monday 16 December, 7.30pm
Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place, London W4 2EL

An illustrated talk by Ishwari Giga, Curator at Gunnersbury Park Museum, who grew up locally. Passionate about social history and contemporary curating, she co-ordinated this project, funded by Historic England. Focussing on Firestone and Trico in Brentford and AEC in Southall, volunteers, former workers and young film-makers together assembled the content for new web pages. These show how the growth and decline of heavy industry has shaped West London. You can see the Museum’s on-line exhibition here

This will be an in-person event at the Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place, W4, and it will also be offered via Zoom. There is no charge to join this event. If you are attending in person, there is no need to book.
