Professor Judith Hawley FSA of Royal Holloway College will give a talk on Alexander Pope, Lord Burlington and the Arcadian Thames. The long friendship between Pope and Burlington grew when the poet and his parents were living for a time in the house which became the Mawson Arms and Burlington was beginning his work on the gardens at Chiswick House.

Doors open 6.30pm, when refreshments will be available, and the talk starts at 7pm
Admission is free for members of the Friends, and non-members are asked to make a donation of £12.00 (£10.00 concessions)
