On the day of its consecration a letter from the churchwarden of St Nicholas, Chiswick to the Bishop of London was published, accusing the vicar of St Michael’s of ‘high church’ practices.
In the year of its 140th anniversary Father Kevin Morris, the current vicar, recounts the sometimes turbulent history of the church, with help from parishioners Torin Douglas and David Beresford.

An illustrated talk on this major trans-shipment point for goods between railway, Thames and canal by David Shailes, local historian and Dock resident. He will describe its building, operation, expansion and closure as well as its rebirth in the 20th century as a housing estate.
