In this section of our website you will find a selection of articles from the Brentford & Chiswick Local History Journal. The issue number and date of publication are included with each article so that you can be aware that more research may have been done since the original piece was written. We are very grateful to the Hounslow Library Service’s Local Studies Department which has enabled us to use images from their collection in our publications over the years, and some of their images appear online here as well.

A great variety of topics has been covered by local researchers and we are pleased to have been able to share the fruits of research into our area since we began publishing in 1980. While we had permission to publish in print from all of our authors, digitising their articles was not envisaged in the 1980s and 1990s. We are no longer in touch with some of our authors; we would be pleased to hear from them via this website if they wish to discuss the use of Journal articles here. We have made it a priority to put onto our web-site articles from issues of the Journal which are no longer in print; every article, issue by issue, is listed in the pages called Our Publications and those Journals which are still available for sale can be found in Book Shop.

Over time we will add new pieces, especially items dealing with topical issues, written especially for the web-site.
