39th West London Local History Conference, 30 March 2019
Entertainment in South & West London
University of West London,
Boston Manor Road, Brentford TW8 9GA
The Society has been one of the sponsors of this major local history conference since the beginning. Taking a different theme each year, it regularly sells out, with around 120 people taking part. As always, there is an impressive programme with excellent speakers. They will explore how changing fashions in entertainment have contributed to local social life over 300 years.
The venue has a comfortable lecture theatre and a cafe on site where you can buy lunch. It is only a short distance from Brentford Station (SW Trains) and Boston Manor Station (Piccadilly Line) and there is free parking alongside, beneath the M4 flyover.
Tickets, available from the end of November 2018, cost £15.00 per person, to include morning coffee and afternoon tea. They must be purchased in advance – please make your cheque out to ‘The West London Local History Conference’ and send it with an SAE to J McNamara, 31B Brook Road South, Brentford TW8 0NN.
