Today, at very short notice, we have been notified by MOLA of this event. We hope some Society members will be able to go along.
“Come along to The Museum of Water & Steam on Saturday 30 April to meet archaeologists from Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) and learn about recent archaeological excavations in Brentford. Over the last few years our archaeologists have been using a range of techniques to learn more about the area’s past.
Join us on the day to:
See a display of finds excavated from the site, some of which are almost 2000 years old
Learn what happens during an excavation and the roles involved in investigating the past through finds
Handle replica finds and see an archaeologist demonstrate key skills involved in discovering finds
Find out how communities in Brentford have changed through time from prehistory to modern times”
