The Mourning & Funeral of Sir John Maynard of Gunnersbury in 1690

Using the steward’s notes of his expenditure on this major event, James Wisdom will reveal details of the elaborate arrangements made after Sir John Maynard’s death for official mourning at his Gunnersbury mansion and a heraldic funeral. This is an extended version of the illustrated talk given at the West London Local History Conference in November 2020.
