Membership of the Brentford & Chiswick Local History Society ensures that you receive details of the Society’s programme of talks and outings and entitles you to a copy of the annual Journal. The bookstall at meetings ensures that you keep up to date with current local publications. From time to time there are opportunities to join a small research group or assist with a local history project.
Our meetings, usually on the third Monday of the month, take place at Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place, off Dukes Avenue opposite Chiswick Library. Most include an illustrated local history talk. Our outings – usually a day trip in the summer – have taken us to a wide variety of places, wherever possible with some connection to the history of our own area. From time to time we also organise a lecture or other event to promote interest in local history, often in Brentford rather than Chiswick.
The membership year runs from January to December and the annual subscription costs £9.00. If you wish to join, come along to one of our meetings or print off and send us the membership form with your details and payment.
